We’ve enjoyed a really close relationship with Carlos Lopez for several years. During his time as one of Fender’s revered Master Builders we got to experience the quality of his work and his artistic vision up close and personal, and let me tell you he is one of the very best!
So when he left the Fender Custom Shop to branch out on his own, we were expecting great things! Since early 2022 Carlos and his wife have been running the incredible Castedosa Guitars, top tier custom guitars with that classic Carlos twist. Let’s not forget the buzz around Carlos’ guitars from a few years back, the reintroduction of the Fender Marauder and the brand new design, the Brawler Baritone, this is a guy that loves to think outside the box and push the boundaries.
A team from Peach were fortunate enough to be invited to visit Carlos earlier this year to spec out a range of Castedosa Guitars, and they have just arrived in store!
Chances are you’ll have seen a Castedosa out in the wild already, guys such as Ariel Posen, Josh Klinghoffer and Chris Chaney can be seen putting their trust in these guitars night after night. And once you’ve experienced one for yourself it’s easy to see why!
Our first shipment includes 4 of the OG Castedosa model, the Conchers Baritone. Built to the highest level of craftsmanship and sonic excellence, the Conchers Baritone is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Tight, precise and with a clarity and definition that Baritone guitars often struggle to capture, this is a true extension of your guitar playing voice.
The standout model is the 3-Tone Sunburst Sparkle model, it’s got all the usual Conchers magic but under the hood you’ll find a mind bending La Raza Fuzz. Designed and built by Connor R. Moore of M.A.D, Carlos’ former Fender Custom Shop apprentice, this ripping octave fuzz circuit has been built right into the guitar itself. It has individual switches for both the octave and the fuzz and thumb dials for volume and gain so you can experiment to find just the right sound, all at your fingertips.
