Peach Guitars | The best acoustic guitars under £900!

First up, a classic, the Taylor GS-Mini Koa. These little rippers have been on the scene for a good few years now, and you know what, we never tire of seeing them! Everything we love about Taylor guitars packaged up in a compact, easy to play format, what could be better? Loaded with Taylor’s fantastic ES-B pickup system, which includes a built in tuner, the GS-Mini is perfect for travellin’, roadtrippin’ and campfire strummin’! Taylor never skimp on the Koa either, it’s always top drawer and offers a real distinctive visual. Koa has a really sweet, crisp snap to it tonally and the GS-Mini takes full advantage. Complete with a Taylor gig bag, these stunners are available right now for just £766.99, which is unbelievable value and you should probably just put your order in now, go on, the link is on the side!

Next up, a newcomer! It might be the most expensive of the bunch and it might be a signature model but don’t let that detract from what is, a really cool mid level acoustic! The Martin 000-JR10E Shawn Mendes, is the signature for, yep, you’ve guessed it, Shawn Mendes. If, like me, you’ve heard the name but know nothing about him, he’s a multi Grammy nominated singer songwriter, ask your kids, they’ll know who he is. The Martin 000-Jr10E Shawn Mendes is a super little guitar though and not one that we should be ignoring! Utilising sustainably sourced materials such as FSC-certified Sitka Spruce and solid Sapele back and sides, it’s got a lush natural tone. Check out our video of Alex pulling some magic out of it below! It’s loaded with a Fishman Sonitone pickup and comes complete with, rather nicely, a Martin gig bag which was manufactured from plastic bottles that were pulled from the ocean. Who thought saving the world could sound this good?

The Yamaha L Series is a real Peach Guitars favourite, and the LL6 ARE is a model we have a particular soft spot for! If you are looking for a comfortable, balanced, high spec acoustic that isn’t going to break the bank but sounds like it should have, then this is the guitar for you. With a solid Engelmann Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides, it’s got that big, brash strummers tone that just draws you in and makes you want to play. Yamaha’s A.R.E. (acoustic resonance enhancement) wood reforming tech gives the sound and feel of a guitar that’s been well played in, you know that sweet spot that we all dig? This guitar is already there! Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood have been manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, just like your favourite vintage strummers! The price is the best feature though, £449. Madness, and you can only get them from Peach Guitars!

Last but by no means least, another of our favourite acoustic guitars, and one that packs a serious punch. The PRS SE Parlor P20, is a formidable little guitar, featuring Mahogany top, back and sides on the Tonare body shape, this compact powerhouse is a versatile and really well rounded guitar. An Ebony fingerboard, the famed PRS bird inlays and a gig bag are all part of the package too, what a steal. Available as both standard acoustic and as pick up loaded versions, the Parlor acoustic prices start at just £299 for the Limited Edition Satin Pink Lotus and go up to the lofty heights of £379 for the Fishman GT1 loaded Tobacco Sunburst variant. If you know anything about guitars, you’ll appreciate that attention to detail and quality control are key demands of Paul Reed Smith and it certainly filters down through to the SE.

It’s tough to call which is best, and maybe there is no winner here, but one thing is for certain, for less than £900 you can be the owner of an absolutely fantastic new acoustic guitar.

As always, you can buy with confidence from Peach Guitars. From meticulously inspecting each piece of equipment, professionally setting up each guitar, tracking every package, and delivering the best after-sales customer service, our team will do our best to make you feel welcome and offer genuine, professional advice.
