If you’re anything like me, as soon as you open the Instagram app you’re greeted to a deluge of immaculate pedalboards, quite often featuring a tasty selection of Strymons and boutique fuzzes! Intricate wiring, super tidy velcro and not a speck of dust or dirt to be seen.

I’m sure this resonates with most of the guitar playing social media dwelling populus, and if it does, you’ve all probably noticed another note worthy addition to most of these glorious boards. It slips under the radar to some extent but to those in the know it’s maybe the ultimate “always on” pedal!

So what is this mystical box of tonal majesty? 

The Hudson Broadcast of course!

Fans of the Broadcast, and of Peach Guitars, will know that we have a long and vibrant history with Hudson, the result is a series of Limited Edition Broadcasts in a selection of super classic colours! We thought it was time for another, so here it is, the Hudson Electronics Broadcast PG-24V-FS in Mint Turquoise.

The Broadcast is a transformer-coupled, discrete Class-A germanium circuit that takes its inspiration from classic recording consoles of the ‘60s. The unique way in which the circuit saturates and colours your signal can be used to produce biting clean boosts, subtly coloured and thickened signals with a frayed-at-the-edge quality, or, when pushed, an individual sounding overdrive with a fuzzy, fried  texture.

The PG-24V-FS takes this classic transformer-coupled, discrete Class-A germanium circuit, running it internally at 24 volts from a standard 9 volt supply, perfect for your board! The increased voltage gives extra headroom and a tighter low end, fantastic if you are looking for a little less saturation and grit, but without losing that unique sound of the Broadcast. 

On the PG-24V-FS the gain mode (LOW or HIGH) is selectable via the right hand foot switch (the blue LED indicates when the pedal is in HIGH gain mode) and each mode has its own LEVEL control. In addition, the PG-24V-FS has an internal trimmer that allows you to fine tune the amount of gain the HIGH mode has.

These little rippers NEVER stay around for long, so if you want to be admiring it on your pedalboard and not the boards on Instagram, you're going to want to move FAST!
