Peach Guitars | Fender Master Built guitars!

11 May 2023

You all know how highly we rate the Fender Custom Shop, I mean, we go on about it all the time! We know that you guys share our enthusiasm too, so we’re not going to sit here and preach to the converted!

That said, at the time of writing we do find ourselves in the enviable position of having 12, yep, you read that correctly, 12 Fender Custom Shop Master Built guitars!

For those of you who haven’t encountered Fender Master Built guitars before, they are the absolute creme de la creme of Fender’s offerings. An elite team of the most talented luthiers and builders on the planet have been assembled to deliver the pinnacle of guitar construction.

We’d like to draw your attention to 3 of our favourites, so settle in and cast your eye over some of the sweetest instruments you’re ever likely to see!

First up, a delicious Kyle McMillin '58 Strat in Aged Sherwood Green over Chocolate 3TSB. Kyle might only be a couple of years into his tenure as a Fender Master Builder but with builds like this, you can bet he’s going to be around for a long time!

The lightweight Alder body is finished in a really authentically aged Heavy Relic Sherwood Green over Chocolate 3TSB. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively.

With a rift sawn Maple neck, ‘54 Strat soft V profile, 7.25”-9.5" radius and 6105 frets it's super resonant and feels incredible underhand. A trio of hand-wound Fat ‘50s pickups offers a versatile and well balanced selection.

If you’re looking for something a little less traditional, then this is the guitar for you! From the masterful hands of Fender icon, Jason Smith, this '60 Tele Custom Closet Classic in Tobacco/Dark Salem is certainly a departure from most standard Telecaster builds!

The 2-Piece Mahogany body features a stunning Trans Tobacco stain alongside Dark Salem sides, it's a real beauty! The 2A Flame Maple neck has a worn finish and is aged to perfection.

With a 9.5" radius and 21 Narrow Tall frets, this '60 Tele Custom can handle anything you throw at it, without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. Loaded with a pair of TV Jones Classics you get a broad variation of tones. From clean sparkle to a raunchy growl, this guitar really is a player's dream.

Last, but by no means least, is yet another stunner from our good friend, Dale Wilson. We have a great relationship with Dale, and his builds are often the most eagerly anticipated arrivals here at Peach Guitars, and the one we’d like to share today is no different, a '60 Tele Custom Heavy Relic in Aged Vintage White.

The Aged Vintage White finish is beautifully contrasted with the awesome tortoise shell body binding, it looks super slick, and that ageing, man, it’s incredible.

The rift sawn Maple neck is a real treat and benefits from a 65 Strat C profile, 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. The AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard is super dark and perfectly offsets the Vintage White finish.

With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '60 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a pair of hand-wound ’63 Tele pickups it does just that.

Make sure you check out all the videos and click through to the listings on the side, these guitars really are something special and we’d love for you to experience them in all their glory!
