Novo have decided to refresh their lineup, introducing refinements and some tasty extras to their already exceptional instruments. The former Select series has evolved into the fresh Nucleus series. This series proudly features the continued presence of the Idris, Serus, Solus, and Voltur models, along with the exciting addition of the Miris model to enrich the lineup. Immerse yourself in cutting-edge hardware, inventive designs, fresh pickup configurations, and a diverse array of exquisite finishes. Today, we take great pleasure in introducing the Idris HSS model, a superb example of Novo's exciting Nucleus range.
Traditionally offered with three single-coil pickups, the Idris HSS incorporates a Fralin Modern PAF in the bridge. This delivers true PAF tone with a modern twist, catering to contemporary musical styles that demand higher output and power. It is characterised by a thicker midrange, ensuring a quick and even breakup for a distinctive sound that stands out in the mix.
In the middle and neck positions are two Fralin Vintage Hot Strat pickups. Renowned for their ability to capture the essence of vintage Strat tones, these pickups are Lindy Fralin's best-selling Stratocaster set. With a warm, balanced midrange and sparkling clarity on the top end, the Vintage Hot Strat pickups deliver the purest vintage Strat tone.
The Novo Idris HSS utilises tempered pine for the body wood and tempered maple for the neck. This choice of materials contributes to the guitar's overall resonance, providing a balanced tonal profile that complements the pickups. The fingerboard, made of rosewood, adds a touch of warmth to the tonal spectrum.
The Medium 'C' neck carve and a scale length of 25.5" ensure a comfortable playing experience. A 9.5"-14" fingerboard radius further enhances playability, accommodating various playing styles and techniques.
The Novo Idris HSS is equipped with a MannMade USA vibrato bridge, adding a touch of sophistication and reliability to the guitar's design. This bridge not only enhances tuning stability but also allows for expressive vibrato.
Stringjoy 10-48 strings and a 1.65" nut width contribute to the guitar's overall playability, ensuring a balanced tension and comfortable fretting. The inclusion of a Novo Deluxe Padded Gig Bag provides practical protection, making it an ideal companion for musicians on the move.
