Wow, this one has caused a stir amongst those that have seen it! This Novo Ivorus is a custom-built, medium-scale offset bass with all the character, feel and attitude that Novo are known for. Finished in a stunning Toasted Marshmallow with a matching peghead and light distressing, it has that unmistakable Novo aesthetic: modern lines, vintage soul and a hand-built personality that feels alive the moment you pick it up.
The body is crafted from tempered pine, giving the bass a lively, resonant response with a fast attack and a warm, woody midrange. Paired with a tempered maple neck and an East Indian rosewood fingerboard, the Ivorus has a balanced, articulate voice that works beautifully across genres. The Medium C (.830") neck shape and 7.25" radius offer a familiar, vintage-leaning feel, while the 32" scale strikes the perfect middle ground between punchy short-scale thump and full-scale clarity.
A pair of Novo Jazzmaster Bass pickups by Lollar deliver a wide, expressive tonal range. They offer the clarity and definition of a traditional single-coil bass pickup but with the added depth, warmth and harmonic richness that Lollar are known for. Whether you're after smooth, rounded lows or a more forward, articulate midrange, the Ivorus responds with musicality and detail.
Hardware is premium throughout. The Hipshot A-Style bridge provides rock-solid intonation and sustain, while Coronado-style knobs add a touch of vintage flair. Stainless-steel Jescar 47095 medium frets ensure long-term durability and smooth playability, and the bass ships with Stringjoy 50-105 strings for a balanced, responsive feel straight out of the case.
Finished with a Toasted Marshmallow pickguard and supplied in a Novo Deluxe padded soft case, the Ivorus is a beautifully crafted, boutique-grade instrument built for players who want something unique, expressive and unmistakably Novo.
