The Novo Serus J Baritone is a custom-built offset designed for players who want extended-range depth without sacrificing Novo's signature feel, resonance and personality. Finished in an amazing Your Gold Dress Sparkle with an extra light distress level and a Bull Black peghead, it has a bold, boutique aesthetic that stands out immediately. Cream neck binding and MOTO block inlays add a refined, vintage-inspired touch that complements the shimmering finish beautifully.
The body is crafted from tempered pine, giving the guitar a lively, responsive character with a warm midrange and fast attack. Paired with a tempered maple 4/4 neck and an East Indian rosewood fingerboard, the Serus J Baritone delivers a balanced, articulate voice that handles low tunings with clarity and authority. The Medium C (.830") neck shape offers a comfortable, familiar feel, while the 9.5"-14" compound radius keeps chords smooth and bends effortless across the entire fingerboard. The extended 28" scale length provides the tension and definition needed for baritone tuning, making the guitar feel tight, focused and expressive.
A pair of Lollar Mini-Broilers give the instrument a unique tonal identity. These pickups combine the chime and clarity of a single-coil with the punch and warmth of a mini-humbucker, resulting in a voice that is articulate, harmonically rich and perfectly suited to the baritone range. Whether you are exploring atmospheric cleans, gritty mid-gain textures or thick, driving rhythms, the Serus J Baritone responds with musicality and depth.
The hardware is premium throughout. The Mastery M1 bridge and NV vibrato with Lightning Bolt arm provide exceptional stability, smooth feel and precise intonation, even under expressive vibrato use. Dumble-style knobs and a black toggle switch tip complete the look with understated elegance. Jescar 47095 medium nickel-silver frets ensure durability and smooth playability, while Stringjoy 14-68 strings give the guitar a confident, balanced feel right out of the case.
