The Music Man 30th Anniversary Axis is a limited edition model that marks three decades of one of the brand's most recognisable designs. It features a hand-stained quilt maple top and is paired with a black, lightly sparkled back that complements the overall aesthetic while maintaining a consistent, high-end look. Additional premium touches include a colour-matched headstock, a commemorative 30th Anniversary logo, and inclusion of a certificate of authenticity and deluxe hardshell case, ensuring long-term value, protection, and collectability. This colour is limited to only 120 pieces worldwide so be sure not to miss out!
Built to original specifications, this model is designed for performance and reliability. It features a figured maple neck with an asymmetrical carve that is thicker on the bass side and slimmer on the treble side, providing a more natural hand position and reducing fatigue during extended playing. The 22 stainless steel frets offer increased durability, smoother playability, and resistance to wear over time, while glow-in-the-dark side dots improve visibility on darker stages. The non-recessed double locking tremolo system with fine tuners ensures excellent tuning stability, even with heavy tremolo use, making it suitable for demanding live and studio environments.
The guitar is constructed using carefully selected basswood and maple tonewoods, chosen for their balanced tonal response, resonance, and visual appeal. The proprietary DiMarzio humbuckers are custom wound specifically for the Axis, delivering a powerful and articulate sound with strong clarity, sustain, and dynamic range across different playing styles.
