There are few players as imposing as John Petrucci. As lead songwriter and guitarist of progressive metal giants Dream Theater, he is known for his complex composition and virtuoso lead playing. John Petrucci and Ernie Ball Music Man have been partners for many years. Together, they have created some of the most unique, eye-catching, and forward-thinking instruments available today. The Majesty Premium Select series is their latest collaboration and features instruments built to John’s exact specifications.

This Music Man Majesty features the same ergonomic body design players know and love. It features some lovely curves, and really is super comfortable to play. One of the most unique features of the Majesty design is the neck through construction. It features a Mahogany neck through body with Alder wings and a thick maple top. This combination is John’s current preferred tone wood partnership, it gives you a tone that’s thick, powerful, and super clear. All of the tone wood uses on this model was hand selected by the Music Man team, ensuring only the finest timber is used.

The neck through Mahogany neck is extremely comfortable and easy to navigate. It’s fairly thin, but there is plenty to grip on to. The Ebony fingerboard is super dark in colour and looks really premium. It features John’s signature Atlante Majesty Inlays, a 17” radius, 24 medium jumbo stainless steel frets, 43mm nut width, glow in the dark side dots, and a 25.5” scale length

A band like Dream Theater is full of complex, intricate and varied guitar styles, because of this, John requires a pickup load out that is up to the challenge. A DiMarzio Rainmaker in the Neck and a DiMarzio Dreamcatcher in the bridge provide all the crushing tones you can possibly imagine, and thanks to the inclusion of the Piezo pickup you have that classic “Pull Me Under" tone right at your fingertips. This guitar also features a built-in boost circuit, giving you access to up to 20 dB of boost for extra gain when needed. Independent volume controls enable the custom blending of magnetic and piezo pickups, suitable for use in both mono and stereo applications.

The custom John Petrucci Music Man floating bridge provides a stable and comfortable playing platform, and in conjunction with Schaller M6-IND Tuners you can play all night long without tuning issues.
