With a profiled Swamp Ash body and 3A Flame maple top it looks super slick. Finished in an awesome Trans Black Matt its stealthy and mean!, with a special contoured neck heel, this guitar feels great and looks even better! It's beautifully poised, balanced and allows great access right up the neck.
The Maple dominant 5-ply neck boasts a slick Ebony fingerboard, with stainless steel frets and a headless design, its comfortable and fast. The 16" radius feels great under hand and offers a platform perfect for both low end riffing and treble side lead work.
The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life, with a duo of Bare knuckle TKO Pickups, you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. Mayones and Bare knuckle have had an extremely strong relationship for years, so a collaboration between both teams was always inevitable. The TKO set is aggressive through gain but beautifully clean when required, such a versatile set.
With a Sophia 2:92 Tremolo, this guitar offers flawless tuning stability and intonation. If you are looking for a powerhouse guitar with a real powerful response but still retaining a finesse and intricacy thats reminiscent of the 80s, the Mayones Hydra is a worthy contender.
