The Martin LX1 Little Martin is a compact, high-quality acoustic guitar designed for portability without compromising tone. Its solid Sitka spruce top provides a clear, balanced sound with excellent projection and dynamic range, making it suitable for both strumming and fingerstyle playing. The modified X Series "X" bracing enhances structural stability while allowing the top to vibrate freely, contributing to the guitar's lively and responsive tone. The hand-rubbed finish gives the top a smooth appearance while maintaining the natural resonance of the wood.
The back and sides are made from durable Mahogany-pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL), which resists changes in temperature and humidity - ideal for travel or varying environments. The neck is crafted from Rust Stratabond, a strong, layered hardwood that ensures long-term durability and resists warping. Its modified low oval shape provides a comfortable grip for most hand sizes, while the Richlite fingerboard offers a smooth playing surface with low maintenance and excellent resistance to wear.
With a shorter 23" scale length and a compact Modified 0-14 Fret body, the LX1 is easy to play and highly portable. It features 20 frets, a nut width of 1-11/16", and 2-1/8" bridge string spacing, offering a comfortable playing experience for beginners and experienced players alike. Other features include chrome tuning machines for precise tuning, a compensated white Tusq saddle for improved intonation, and a padded gig bag for safe and convenient transport. The LX1 is a practical and reliable choice for travel, practice, or performance. Good condition but does have a few small dings and surface marks.
