It's hard to imagine a world for us guitarists where Jimi Hendrix hadn't teamed up with Marshall; that's because that partnership changed the rock landscape forever afterwards. To celebrate this partnership from 60 years ago, this extremely limited edition bundle has been issued in a collab between Marshall and the Hendrix estate. Peach Guitars is one of the few places where you will be able to buy this bundle - and we have only one.
The head itself is a beautiful handwired/made in the UK 100W Plexi - one of the greatest amps ever made. Built with turret board construction and period-correct components, the amp gives you the exact same platform that Hendrix had for all of his most legendary performances and recordings. The amp is harmonically rich and has two bridgeable channels, with the classic four inputs (2 lo, 2 hi) and the classic controls (2 volumes, and a 4-band EQ). Even if you're not a Hendrix fan (yeah right) this amp still gives you a fantastic, powerful, raw and ballsy amp experience. Powered by 4 x EL34s and 2 x ECC83s in the pre amp (as well as a ECC83 phase splitter), this amp is the real deal, for those who can handle it! Playing through an amp like this will always make you a better player and if you've never experienced it, it's a gamechanger.
This one-off package has undergone a full psychedelic makeover and includes some awesome touches such as purple knobs and a purple LED, as well as a cool Hendrix All-Seeing Eye plaque on both the head and cab. To keep the quality high and consistent, the angled 4x12 cab is also handwired and British made.
To finish the package and give you the Hendrix fire, the bundle comes with a matching aesthetic Dunlop Fuzz Face, with some cool visual touches such as the input jack being labelled 1966, the output 2026, the volume knob renamed "Jim Marshall - Loud", and the fuzz control now called "Jimi Hendrix - Foxey". It is a perfect visual and tonal companion to the 1959HW.
To sum up, this is a very rare bundle that ticks the boxes for both players and collectors. You've got a fantastic tried and tested guitar rig in an absolutely one-off design. Awesome. Buy it now before John decides to keep it for the shop!
