One of the defining punk guitarists of his generation, Billie Joe Armstrong is responsible for some of the most iconic rock riffs over the last 30+ years. Now teaming up with the legendary team at Marshall Amplification to create a truly standout signature amp for the ages. This 1959BJA has been developed between Billie Joe and Marshall for some time, and is heavily inspired by the 100 watt Plexi used on Green Day's seminal album, Dookie.
Capturing the essence of that raw, aggressive energy and finished in a super cool Baby Blue finish, if you want BJA's sound and pure angst vibe, look no further!
A recreation of Billie's modified Marshall 100w Plexi, this amp features a "Dookie Mod" which cascades the inputs and adds a master volume. Essentially, it takes you from a classic four-input setup to a dual-input layout with independent gain and volume controls - very much in the vein of a 2203. On top of that, a few component tweaks give you a noticeable boost in gain, punchier bass, and richer low-mids compared to a stock 1959.
This 100-w hand wired amp contains a Master volume, Gain and 3-band EQ, complete with Presence control. Loaded with 4 x EL34 power valves, 3 x ECC83 preamp valves.
To finish off its stylish aesthetic, the amp is adorned with a gold "Dookie" logo with Billie Joe's signature.
A powerhouse of an amp, ready to hit the stage - Welcome to Paradise!
