When these woods arrive at the Lowden workshops, they undergo meticulous re-grading several times, ensuring that only the rarest and most extraordinary pieces are reserved for the 50 Series. Every guitar in this series is a testament to Lowden's unwavering commitment to creating the very best instruments.
With the O-50C model, Lowden stays true to the original soundbox design created by George Lowden himself back in 1976. This design, perfected over the years, features a unique geometry and bracing that enhances treble response while balancing the natural bass-heavy characteristics of larger-bodied guitars. The result is a harmonically rich and well-balanced sound that will enchant both players and listeners alike.
Master Grade Indian Rosewood graces the back and sides of the O-50C, providing a stunning visual backdrop to complement its extraordinary sound. The soundboard boasts Master Grade Sitka Spruce, known for its exceptional resonance and projection.
