Lowden F-50 | Master Grade Red Cedar - Master Grade Ebony

Finest Tonewoods For Unparalleled Sound Quality - F-Shape Body Excels In All Styles - Intricate Detailing

The Lowden F-50 is a pinnacle of acoustic guitar craftsmanship, representing the absolute best of the Lowden 50 Series. This series is renowned for utilising only the most exceptional, Master Grade tonewoods, meticulously selected for their stunning visual appeal and extraordinary tonal properties. Each 50 Series guitar, including this beautiful F-50, undergoes a rigorous selection process, ensuring that only the rarest and finest woods make it into the final instrument.

The F-50's iconic F-shape, first introduced in 1982 and refined in 2003, is renowned for its balanced sound, projecting both midrange and bass frequencies with clarity and depth. This makes it an ideal choice for flatpickers, fingerstyle players, and blues guitarists alike. The guitar's construction, featuring a Master Grade Red Cedar top and Master Grade Ebony back and sides, give it a beautiful rich tonal palette and lots of sustain.

The 5-piece Mahogany/Rosewood neck, paired with an Ebony fingerboard and Maple bindings, offers exceptional playability and comfort. The GL standard neck profile, measuring 45mm at the nut and 57mm at the 14th fret, provides a balanced feel for various playing styles.

The F-50's aesthetic appeal is equally impressive, with intricate details such as highly figured wood bindings, purflings, a 7-piece hand-inlaid back centre seam, an abalone and figured wood rosette, and an extended Maple-bound Ebony fingerboard. The soundbox bevel, a popular custom option, enhances playing comfort by providing a more ergonomic contour.

With its exceptional tone, stunning aesthetics, and unparalleled craftsmanship, the Lowden F-50 is a true masterpiece that will inspire and delight guitarists for generations to come.
