Boasting a robust and pronounced upper octave, this pedal offers a plethora of tonal possibilities within a modern and pedalboard-friendly design. Its features include ultra-fast tracking, adjustable TIMBRE and FILTER controls, a user-friendly interface, discrete transistor-based fuzz with enhanced rectification circuitry for a powerful upper octave, an active pre-gain 2nd-order filter section, and independent Mix controls for precise signal balancing. Housed in a compact enclosure with top-mounted jacks, the MANDRAKE is a true bypass pedal with silent relay-based soft switching, ensuring seamless integration into any setup.

With the Mandrake, KMA goes beyond the ordinary, building on their acclaimed Shriek circuit from the MOAI MAEA pedal to deliver a powerful, easy-to-use octave-up device with expanded features.
The Mandrake incorporates a 2nd order Low-Pass Filter, offering precise control over upper harmonics and improved tracking. The FILTER control allows you to achieve cutting and shrieking mayhem when turned fully left, while a turn in the opposite direction produces a mellower, synth-like texture. This flexibility is crucial for tailoring the upper octave effect to different instruments and pickups, ensuring a customised tone that isn't one-size-fits-all.
To sculpt the octave voicing to your personal taste, the TIMBRE control defines the amount of fuzzy gain present in the upper octave. From slightly crunchy and percussive tones for melodic arpeggio enhancements to crushingly saturated doom-hammer sounds with the knob turned fully clockwise, the Mandrake adapts to your creative preferences.
The pedal also features independent DRY and OCT+ controls, allowing you to mix the dry signal and effected upper octave precisely. This capability is particularly useful when using the Mandrake with other dirt pedals or when you want to preserve the natural body and attack of your instrument.
