Every once in a while a guitar will come along that perfectly embraces modern design, playability and tone, the end result being a guitar that is perfect for home, stage and studio. The PRS Modern Eagle II is one of those guitars. This used wood library model is an absolute gem and is in remarkable condition.
With a stunning Flame Maple top, finished in high gloss Charcoal Burst, the Modern Eagle looks every bit as good as it sounds. With a South American Mahogany back it offers incredible resonance and is perfectly weighted and balanced while the sleek design offers great access right up the neck. The 24 fret Black Rosewood neck and fingerboard feature a Wide Fat profile, offering a warm tone and loads of sustain it feels great underhand. Proudly bearing the classic Abalone and Paua bird inlays, this is every bit the premium guitar.
With the Signature 57/08 humbuckers, you get stunning articulation and musical clarity. Comfortable in a wide range of musical situations, these pickups cover a broad spectrum of tones and always find a way to cut through the mix. The Modern Eagle also benefits from a push/pull tone pot for even greater tonal variation. With a PRS stoptail bridge and locking tuners you get great tuning stability and intonation.
This is a real collector’s piece, Rosewood necks are becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of and this example really is something special. Only 3 of these guitars were ever built so it's unlikely that we'll ever see another. It’s in fantastic condition, doesn’t really show any signs of wear and comes housed in the original PRS Private Stock hardcase for extra security. This will not hang around for long, so you better move fast.
