James Trussart is one of a small breed of modern luthiers who have totally developed their own unique space in the market. Taking classic shapes, Trussart propels them in to a whole new stratosphere with his signature and highly unconventional steel construction methods. Hand crafted from his Los Angeles workshop, these vintage inspired instruments often feature his rust-o-matic ageing and heavily patinated and engraved steel tops.
The James Trussart Steel Deville is one of the most instantly recognisable guitars in the Trussart arsenal. Featuring an antique steel body, it benefits from a perforated back for a really raspy response and great weight relief, this guitar does still weigh in at a respectable 9.6lb.
The '59 Cream Sound Maple neck with Rosewood board feels great underhand and offers a great platform for both heavy chord work and slick lead lines. Loaded with handwound Arcane P90s, this guitar has a really well balanced tone. Sitting perfectly between a humbucker and a single coil, its versatile and powerful, a real boutique tone.
This guitar is used but is in fantastic condition and ships with the original case.
