To celebrate Gretsch's 130th Anniversary, Gretsch have released this super cool new model which is designed to combat some of the feedback issues that the all hollow guitars are prone to when playing with a distorted tone, you often see some of the old classic gretsches with material stuffed into the f holes to prevent erroneous feedback.
On this model they've gone with a 'center block' design which is similar to how a 335 is constructed, the block is made from spruce which gives the guitar a nice lively tone, the block is actually chambered at the lower bought to keep the weight down, another cool thing is the pinned wood bridge base extends over the sides of the centre block which can only help with sustain and maximises string vibration
The guitar plays really well thanks to the 12' radius and medium Jumbo frets, it's loaded with 2 'high sensitive' filter'tron pickups.
This model comes with a nice hard case as per the rest of the Japanese Gretsch Guitars
