The Gibson Explorer has always been one pretty radical guitar, initially launched back in '58 as part of Gibson's attempt to embrace futuristic design, it's been a players favourite since its subsequent relaunch back in '76.
The 2019 Gibson Explorer Tribute honours the rich history of this iconic guitar with some incredible features! The trail-blazing Explorer body is crafted from solid Mahogany for a deep, resonant tone, perfect for embracing the heavier side of life; the body is really nicely weighted and balanced.
The Mahogany set neck rocks a Slim Taper neck profile, 22 frets, a 24.75" scale length and a killer Rosewood fingerboard. Super stable and supremely comfortable, the 2019 Gibson Explorer is finished in Satin Ebony for a real slick and brutal aesthetic.
Loaded with Dirty Fingers humbuckers, this guitar really rocks. These high output buckers offer plenty of punch and certainly do the business when you push your amp!
Housed in a Gibson gigbag, this Explorer is definitely a highlight of the 2019 range.
