Gibson are the kings when it comes to hollowbody guitars, since launching the ES-335 back in the '50's Gibson have been refining and improving hollowbody design.
With the Memphis ES-349 we get the ever popular scaled down ES-339 dimensions but with all the aesthetics and power of the ES-345.
A 3-Ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body is finished in Sixties Cherry and offers incredible sustain, a sweet, rich tone and a supreme playing position. The Mahogany neck features a Rosewood fingerboard, traditional C profile, 12" radius and classic vintage Gibson mother of pearl crown inlays. The neck dimensions have been redesigned to provide greater stability and support without compromising playability.
A pair of Gibson MHS humbuckers delivers authentic Gibson PAF tones, slightly underwound and with unbalanced coils, the Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers offer great tonal variety.
With the ES-349, Gibson have perfectly captured the old school vibe so many of us crave but in a brand spanking new, super slick guitar. It's a winner.
