The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic guitars ever put into production, with such a rich history and timeless appeal, the bar has been set pretty high. The 1968 Les Paul Goldtop 50th Anniversary Reissue is a guitar that builds on over 50 years of innovation and development and pushes ever further forward. This is an exact replica of a guitar that was purchased new by a Gibson employee back in '68, its aged beautifully and Gibson have really captured the vibe and mojo of it perfectly!
With a lightweight Mahogany body, this Les Paul benefits from a Plain Maple top for the ultimate tonewood partnership. Rich and super resonant it offers premium tone and timeless aesthetics, while the Heavy Aged Goldtop finish looks a million dollars and really allows the wood to breathe and the natural tone to sing through.
The Mahogany neck is topped with a crisp Rosewood fingerboard with classic Gibson Trapezoid inlays, this guitar looks every bit the real deal. With a 24.75" scale length, hide glue fit and 22 frets, it retains that classic Les Paul feel. The ABR-1 bridge with Aluminium stopbar offers an authentic vintage vibe.
The defining feature of this Les Paul is the custom wound Gibson Custom soapbar P90 pickups. With an ultra-rich harmonic quality; it's as close as you can get to the classic Les Paul tone.
Limited to just 68 models worldwide, these guitars very rarely hit the used market. This one is in top condition and comes complete with original case.
