Gibson Custom Collectors Choice #28 1958 Les Paul aka "STP 'Burst"
Number 45

Collectors Choice #28 is finally here, and it's a great example of a 'burst!
It's really what you'd imagine a 'textbook' '58 to be like! Excellent aging, the checking is really fine, just like our original '53!
The STP 'Burst electric guitar is one of the most played and recorded Les Paul's out there, it can be heard on many, many songs.
Previously owned by Ronnie Montrose, of Montrose fame, and heard all over the album 'Montrose'.
8-6787 also spent 32 years in the company of German guitarist/producer Peter Weihe, who has recorded a huge amount of records, globally.
CC#28 is a 'mark for mark' spot on replica of the original guitar, even down to the tone. The STP 'Burst's pickups has been extensively measured, and the replicated the "perfectly balanced tone, with intense mid-range and power"
The special Custombuckers provide great clarity, beautiful clean, and never gets muddy under heavy distortion.
To celebrate this highly collectable guitar, Gibson made a video, which is included with the guitar on USB. It shows interviews with Leighsa Montrose (Ronnie's widow), and Michael Indelicato, Ronnies Guitar broker. Also included is a commemorative pick tin, and set of picks.
This is number 45 of a maximum of 300.
