The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop '63 Telecaster Relic they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
With the appearance of a vintage guitar this Custom Shop model benefits from all the playability and reliability of a brand new one. The Alder body is finished in an incredible Olympic White finish. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes. The tortoiseshell pickguard really compliments the aesthetic of this guitar, as does the ever popular matching headstock.
The rift sawn Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb playing action without any choking. The 63 Strat style C shape and 21 medium jumbo frets offers a really comfortable playing experience, while the AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of luxury.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '63 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a pair of hand-wound 63 Tele single coils, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
