The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop 1956 Fat Roasted Stratocaster Relic is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
A Roasted Alder body is finished in a super cool Aged Desert Sand finish. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. A gold 8-hole pickguard is a super classy touch that really offsets this uber cool guitar.
The Medium Roasted AA Birdseye Maple neck has a smooth finish and Maple skunk stripe. With a 9.5" radius and 6100 frets, the '56 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 10/56 V profile takes this into another realm of comfort.
With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop Fat ’60s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a treble bleed tone saver and postmodern Strat Fat ‘50s Hookup wiring in addition to the killer Greasebucket tone control, this is a tonal monolith!
