Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt John Cruz Limited Edition Phil Lynott Precision Bass - Black

John Cruz is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so!

John is a massive Thin Lizzy fan, and recently he has undertaken the task of recreating Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott's famous '70s Precision bass.

The light weight select Ash body is typically comfortable thanks to the lush sweeping curves, and with a crisp Black finish it looks real slick. Every detail has been painstakingly recreated and the ageing looks authentic and genuine. The mirrored pickguard became something of a signature piece for Lynott and its proudly on display here.

The rift sawn Maple neck features a '75 U profile, designed for precision and comfort; it's equally at home playing big low end root notes or technical work further up the neck. 20 Jumbo frets, a rosewood fingerboard and a 7.25" radius make this bass feel familiar and supremely comfortable.

Loaded with a Custom Shop '78 Handwound Precision Bass pickup, you get period correct Fender tone, there's just no mistaking that signature Fender bass thump. '70's style machine heads and a Bad Ass II bridge deliver ultimate tuning stability and intonation.

Housed in an Anvil hardcase, the case candy is something pretty special! With a custom studded leather strap and wristband you also get a COA and most importantly, a pair of mirrored aviator sunglasses to complete the Lynott look!
