They just keep getting better and better! How do Taylor do it? Not only is the famous Taylor build quality and playability present, the tone of this is just jaw-dropping and it has to be one of my favourite guitars ever from Taylor.
The combination of a cedar top and Koa back and sides is just a total winner. The all Koa models have a super sweet sugary rich tone, when you add a cedar top the mix though, it just adds some more sprang and midrange punch to the guitars overall frequency response and it really is an addictive guitar to play.
The guitar is most certainly easy on the eye too. The Koa back and sides have that amazing flame maple grain characteristics, it really is that figured!
The whole thing is finished with Taylors superb shaded edgeburst stain.
Other details include an abalone rosette, abalone dot bridge pins, an all-gloss body, a Venetian cutaway, Gotoh Gold tuners, and Taylor's Expression System® 2 pickup for a clear and rich amplified sound.
