Description

Introducing the Guild F-40 Standard, a pinnacle of acoustic guitar craftsmanship proudly made in America. The standout feature of the 40 Standard Series is the new Vintage Gloss nitro finish, an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer that seamlessly combines satin and gloss qualities. This unique finish not only showcases the natural beauty of the tonewoods but also imparts a worn-in vintage feel while maintaining a sleek, modern appearance.

Crafted for musicians who seek clarity, balance, and volume, the F-40 Standard boasts a jumbo-sized body with a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid African Mahogany back and sides. Guild's forward-shifted scalloped Adirondack bracing enhances power, nuance, and responsiveness, resulting in a punchy tone with a smooth top end. This combination delivers a robust tonal palette suitable for a range of musical applications, from vocal accompaniment to expressive solo performances.

Honouring its predecessor, the rare F-48 Navarre, the F-40 Standard retains vintage charm with timeless appointments such as a tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, white ABS binding, and Guild's iconic peak logo inlay on the headstock. The comfortable C-profile Mahogany neck features an Indian Rosewood fingerboard, while premium components like an Indian Rosewood bridge, 20:1 open-gear tuners, and a hand-cut bone nut and saddle contribute to the guitar's exceptional playability and tone.

Each Guild F-40 Standard comes complete with a Guild archtop wood case featuring a built-in Humicase humidification system, ensuring that your instrument is protected and ready to deliver its best performance at all times.
