Crafted with precision, the 6120 features a laminated maple body with an arched top, coated in a sleek gloss urethane finish. The 3-piece maple neck provides a stable foundation, complemented by an ebony fretboard with a 12" radius and 22 frets. The guitar's scale length of 24.6" and width at the nut of 1-11/16" offer a comfortable playing experience.
This masterpiece is equipped with High Sensitive Filter'Tron pickups, delivering a distinctive and resonant tone. The controls include separate volume knobs for the neck and bridge pickups, a master volume, and a 3-way pickup selector. The 3-position toggle master tone switch allows for versatile tonal shaping, with specific settings for medium level/high-frequency roll-off, wide-open pickup sound, and slight level/high-frequency roll-off.
Enhancing both style and functionality, the Gretsch G6120 features a rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic bridge, a Gretsch Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece, and Grover Rotomatic die-cast tuners. Unique touches such as Neo Classic "Thumbnail" inlay position markers, a curly maple headstock overlay, horseshoe headstock inlay, bound fingerboard, multiple body bindings, oversized F-holes, and a gold plexi pickguard with "Chet Atkins" signpost add to the guitar's aesthetic appeal.
