The iconic Gibson SG, one of the all-time great guitars, and the Classic is an amazingly versatile variation.
Originally launched in 1961 as a temporary replacement for the single cutaway Les Paul, the SG gained favour with rock and blues players who were impressed by its innovative design. Now, the Gibson SG Classic brings a very similar guitar to the early 60's SG Special.
A classic all Mahogany body finished in a gorgeous Heritage Cherry gives this guitar that beautiful vintage Gibson look while a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard, with its '50s rounded profile and 1 11/16" nut width, enhance the rich tone and feel.
Classic Gibson tones come courtesy of a pair of P-90 Soapbar pickups. With a really unique sonic character it is versatile, dynamic and offers crystal clear note definition. It's a great example of timeless design.
The SG Classic is delivered in a soft shell case for great protection at home or on the road.
