There are certain guitars that stand the test of time and with its timeless design, effortless playability and rich history, it's easy to see why the Gibson ES-335 remains such an iconic guitar.
To celebrate this classic guitars contribution to music, Gibson released the Gibson Memphis ES-335 1963. A beautifully recreated take on the 'block neck' version of the early '60s.
Designed with the period correct '63 body shape with narrower cutaway horns, the body sports the ever popular Sixties Cherry VOS nitrocellulose finish. This thin lacquer will wear beautifully over time, just like the original '60s models. The 3ply Maple/Poplar/Maple combination providing an authentic and rich tone.
The neck is something special, crafted from Mahogany, it features a gorgeous bound Rosewood fingerboard, embellished with the Block inlays that followed the original '58 dot ones. With historically accurate .100" x .045" fret wire, and 12" radius, this guitar is as close as you can get to the real deal.
A pair of BurstBucker humbuckers deliver those classic '60s tones, deep, rich and resonant they offer great clarity. These PAF style pickups deliver a truly historic sound.
This guitar does have some some buckle rash. this beauty plays brilliantly currently - it has a small amount of fret wear but there's load of life left in them. This is an awesome opportunity to pick up a Memphis Gibson 335.
