The Gibson G-45 Natural acoustic guitar offers a unique playing and listening experience thanks to the innovative Gibson Player Port. This feature, inspired by a 1960s Gibson design and refined by their luthiers, projects sound outward, allowing the player to hear the guitar much like the audience does. This enhances the sonic impact and creates a more immersive experience.
Part of the Generation Collection, the G-45 is crafted in Bozeman, Montana, by the same skilled artisans who build all Gibson acoustics. It features a solid Sitka spruce top, known for its clarity and projection, paired with solid walnut back and sides, which contribute a warm and resonant tone. The round shoulder body, slightly thinner than a traditional J-45, provides enhanced comfort during play.
The G-45's playability is further enhanced by its utile neck with the comfortable Advanced Response profile. The ebony fingerboard offers a smooth surface, while the TUSQ nut and saddle, combined with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, ensure stable tuning. This minimises the need for constant adjustments and allows players to focus on their music.
Other features of the G-45 include traditional scalloped X-bracing, a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a 24.75-inch scale length, 20 standard frets, acrylic dot inlays, a rectangular ebony bridge, and a black pickguard. The guitar comes with a gig bag for convenient transport and protection.
