Sergio Vallin is the talented mastermind and guitarist for Maná (Polynesian for positive energy, the influential Spanish rock band worldwide, and one of the worlds most popular bands regardless of language or genre! For 2022 were proud to present the Sergio Vallin 1955 Les Paul Goldtop.
This signature model has the features and performance Vallin requires for life on the road. With a lightweight Mahogany body this Les Paul benefits from a two-piece plain maple top, making up a perfect tonal partnership. Finished in Gold this Les Paul has been beautifully aged by Gibsons Murphy Lab team. The attention to detail is truly astonishing, the Murphy Lab team really are something special!
With a 59 Rounded C Mahogany neck the Vallin 55 Goldtop is both comfortable and easy to navigate. With a broken-in feel this neck instantly feels at home, its super resonant and a real joy to play. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is adorned with Aged Celluloid Trapezoid inlays, 22 Vintage Narrow/Tall frets, 24.75 scale and a 12 radius.
The crowning feature of this model is the custom pickup selection. All original 55 Les Paul Standards would have left the factory equipped with a pair of hand-wound P-90 pickups, it wasnt until late 56 Gibson started to introduce the now legendary P.A.F humbucker we all know and love. With the Sergio Vallin 55 Les Paul you can have the best of both worlds, its equipped with a custom P-90 in the neck and a Custombucker bridge pickup simulating a very common mod found on pre 57 Les Pauls. How sweet is that!
Finished off with a custom Bigsby B7 bridge alongside Kluson reissue tuners this Sergio Vallin Les Paul offers a playing experience unlike anything currently found within Gibsons product line up. This may just be one of the coolest Les Pauls weve ever seen! This sure wont hang around long so make sure you dont miss out!
