The Gibson Les Paul Special was first introduced back in 1955 as a halfway point between the Les Paul Junior and the more expensive Les Paul Standard. Popular because of its stripped down, no nonsense aesthetic and raw power, this Les Paul Special Single Cut delivers vintage vibes and serious attitude. This 1957 Les Paul Special is full of vintage tone and mojo.
With a solid Mahogany body, finished in a super slick Ultra Light Aged TV Yellow, this is super resonant and really nicely balanced. The attention to detail and craftsmanship on show here is truly amazing.
The Chunky C-Shape Mahogany neck offers a fast and responsive platform for bold chords and slick lead lines. The Rosewood fingerboard boasts 22 frets, a 12" radius, 24.75" Scale length and classic dot inlays
With a dual P90 configuration, the Special kicks out monster tones, growly but without losing any clarity, it really bites when pushed through a cranked valve amp.
