The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic guitars ever put into production, with such a rich history and timeless appeal, the bar has been set pretty high.
With the traditional Mahogany body, this Les Paul benefits from a beautiful plain Maple top for the ultimate tonewood partnership. Rich and super resonant it offers premium tone and timeless aesthetics. The Washed Cherry finish brings a true vintage appeal.
The 1-piece Mahogany neck is topped with a lush Rosewood fingerboard and with classic Gibson Cellulose Trapezoid inlays this guitar looks every bit the real deal. The neck is set using genuine hot hide glue, this vintage technique is said to increase tonal response when compared with modern synthetic glue, just adding to this guitars tone monster status.
This 2017 model was built prior to the last Gibson takeover and was during a short period where the historic Custom Shop models did not feature year specific neck carves. Despite it being a 1958 spec, this model features the more popular 1959 neck profile.
The defining feature of the Gibson Custom Les Paul Standard is the custom wound Custom Bucker pickups. According to Gibson these are the most historically accurate PAF clone on the market, with an ultra-rich harmonic quality, it's as close as you can get to the classic Les Paul tone.

This model is pre-owned and does feature some signs of use which are typical of naturally ageing period-correct Custom Shops. For example, there is some dye bleed in the binding which gives it a pink-ish hue. There is a little bit of buckle rash and some light surface scuffs, however, with it being a VOS finish model anyway these are in keeping with that design.
