The Gibson Les Paul Custom is the ultimate way to experience what makes the Les Paul so special, and here we have a new chapter for this legendary model. With a modern one-piece, weight-relieved Mahogany body topped with a 2-piece Maple top, this Custom is finished in stunning Ebony with Gold hardware. I think it's fair to say it's a real eye catcher.
What makes this particular Les Paul Custom stand out, however, is its Long Scale. This version has a 25.5" scale rather than the traditional 24.75". This much-requested variation will feel right at home for players who are used to a bit of a higher string tension for a snappier picking response and a tighter feel. If you are more inclined to drop-tunings as well this will handle it perfectly.
An Ebony fingerboard with Pearl block inlays, 22 Medium Jumbo frets, Modern C neck profile, Long neck tenon joint, and 12" radius, all on top of a Mahogany neck make for a solid, reliable and easy playing experience.
Loaded with a 490R at the neck and a 498T at the bridge. These humbuckers deliver that tone that only a Les Paul can produce, inspired by the original PAF pickups that have become so iconic. It works for warm jazz all the way up to high-gain distortion.
