Originally available only in Japan, this signature model is now available globally, offering players access to a guitar built to professional standards with a blend of style, tone, and playability.
At the heart of the Richie Kotzen Stratocaster is a select ash body paired with a flame maple top, finished in a distinctive Trans-Burst gloss. This tonewood combination provides a rich and resonant sound with clear highs, tight lows, and a strong midrange presence, making it ideal for both rhythm and lead playing. The figured maple top adds visual appeal, offering a high-end aesthetic that complements the guitar's performance capabilities.
The guitar is equipped with a set of three custom-voiced DiMarzio single-coil pickups, delivering a powerful and articulate tone suited for hard rock, shred, and modern metal. These pickups offer excellent note definition, dynamic response, and clarity, allowing players to achieve both aggressive tones and nuanced expression. Whether recording in the studio or playing live, the electronics deliver a reliable and versatile sound.
The thick "C"-shaped maple neck provides a solid, rounded feel in the hand, enhancing grip and stability during complex or extended playing sessions. The neck's profile is ideal for players who prefer a more substantial feel without sacrificing speed. Combined with a 12" radius maple fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets, the neck allows for smooth bending, accurate intonation, and easy movement across the fretboard. The jumbo frets also offer a larger surface area for more comfortable fretting and cleaner note articulation.
