The neck shape is a modern "C," and the fingerboard has a 9.5" radius. The fingerboard material is pau ferro, and the guitar has 22 frets. The nut material is synthetic bone.
The body of the Player Jazzmaster is made from alder and finished with a gloss polyester finish. The bridge is a 6-saddle vintage-style adjustable with a "floating" tremolo tailpiece. The bridge tailpiece is a vintage-style floating tremolo with a tremolo lock button and push-in tremolo arm. The tuning machines are standard cast/sealed.
The guitar's pickups are Player Series Alnico 2 Humbuckers, with aged white pickup covers. The controls consist of a master volume and master tone, with a 3-position toggle for switching. There is also a push/pull pot for coil split auxiliary switching.
