The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Kyle McMillin Masterbuilt 50’s Telecaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
The Ash body is completed with a classic and traditional Black finish. it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
With a Quarter Sawn Maple neck for a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. A 9.5"radius, 21 narrow tall frets and a 25.5"scale length, it's a real joy to play. With a slick maple fingerboard and a 57 Style soft “V” profile, it feels great underhand.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '50s Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a hand wound Twisted Tele at the neck and a handwound Broadcaster at the bridge it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
