Introducing the Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster, commemorating seven decades of the iconic Stratocaster guitar. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this limited edition model embodies the essence of the original 1954 design. Its two-piece select ash body, featuring an offset seam on the treble side, delivers a resonant tone characterised by clear highs, rich midrange, and tight lows, all accentuated by a stunning Wide Fade Two-Colour Sunburst lacquer finish.
The neck of the 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster is constructed from one-piece quartersawn maple, boasting a special Soft "V" profile inspired by a renowned Strat neck from July 1954. Paired with a vintage compound-radius fingerboard ranging from 7.25" to 9.5" and adorned with 21 medium vintage frets, this neck offers exceptional playability and comfort. Equipped with three Custom Shop hand-wound '54 Strat pickups, this instrument captures the timeless Stratocaster sound, characterised by clear, bell-like highs and versatile tonal options facilitated by vintage '54 Strat wiring and a five-way switching system.
This commemorative model features authentic first-year Strat appointments, including a single-ply white pickguard and serial-number back plate, as well as 1954-style ABS white pickup covers and control knobs. The Custom Shop vintage synchronised tremolo bridge ensures reliable performance and tuning stability, while vintage-style tuners and a disc string tree contribute to its classic aesthetic. Each guitar is accompanied by a special 70th Anniversary Stratocaster neck plate, deluxe embroidered hardshell case, "case candy" kit, and certificate of authenticity, making it a prized addition to any collection.
