Here at Peach Guitars, we're obsessed with vintage Fender guitars from the 1950s and 1960s. Those guitars have a real magic to them and were responsible for some of the most iconic and influential music ever recorded. The Fender Custom Shop team work tirelessly to recreate the magic of these original instruments for today's players, and they really do an incredible job!
This 1961 spec Stratocaster is an ultra premium model heavily inspired by what many consider to be the Golden Era of Fender! It features a period correct Alder body finished in Black - a no nonsense colour and one of Fender's most popular for decades, it goes with everything! The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1961, and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work. The vintage-style hardware is Chrome, for an authentic vibe and feel.
Perhaps the biggest stand-out feature, especially the way it looks in contrast to the Black body, is the premium Roasted AAA Flame Maple neck - not only does it looks absolutely incredible but it feels silky smooth thanks to slick satin finish. It features a 60s Style Oval C neck shape, which is super comfortable and one of the most popular options amongst players. It measures .790 at the 1st fret, and .930 at the 12th fret. The sort for dark AAA Grade Rosewood fingerboard features a dark colour that perfectly fits in with the Black body. It features 21 narrow tall frets, vintage clay dot inlays, a 9.5" radius, and a 1.650" nut width.
With a trio of Hand Wound Fat '60 Strat pickups it absolutely nails that iconic 60s Strat tone. They sound great and are the perfect choice for a vintage inspired guitar like this.
