Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.

The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '61 Strat Ultra Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

An Alder body is finished in an Ultra Relic Sonic Blue, it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. Dale is the King of relic work at the custom shop and this certainly doesn't disappoint though!

The quarter sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and a medium tint on the back. With a 9.5" radius and 21 6105 frets, the '61 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 65 Strat C profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.

Loaded with a trio of handwound Fat 60s Strat single coils, you get a broad variation of tones. From clean sparkle to a raunchy growl, this guitar really is a players dream. These pickups were handwound by Fender pickup master Josefina Campos, Josefina was apprentice to Fender legend Abigail Ybarra and knows all the secrets to unlock the tonal potential of any guitar.
