Vincent Van Trigt is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so. The Fender Custom Shop Vincent Van Trigt Masterbuilt '63 Telecaster is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
The Ash body is finished in a really awesome Aged Sonic Blue. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The wear patterns are incredible, so genuine and authentic, Vincent Van Trigt is considered one of the kings of relic work at the Custom Shop and its definitely on display here!
The plain grain Maple neck is real comfortable. With a AAA Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius, 6105 frets it's super resonant and feels incredible underhand. The 60 style oval " C" shape is incredibly comfortable and measures out at .850" at the 1st fret and .880" at the 12th fret
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '63 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang.
