The sort for lightweight Ash body is finished in a really authentically aged Heavyily Aged Olympic White. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The wear patterns are incredible, so genuine and authentic, Dale Wilson is considered the King of relic work at the Custom Shop and its definitely on display here!
The AAA Flame Maple neck is real comfortable. With a 60 Style Oval "C" profile measuring .820" at the 1st fret and .890" at the 12th, 9.50" radius and Vintage frets its super resonant and feels incredible underhand.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '63 Tele needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang.
With a Josefina hand-wound Twisted Tele at the neck and a Josefina hand-wound Original Black Guard in the bridge, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. Josefina Campos is known as being one of the Fender Custom Shops best pickups winders having learned her craft from legendary winder Abigail Ybarra who learned herself from the incredible Leo Fender himself.
