Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.

The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '60s Strat NOS is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

A Roasted Alder body is finished in a lovely Walnut burst, as an NOS guitar this has a very thin nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1960 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work. An NOS finished guitar from Dale Wilson is a super rare find, this sure isn't going to hang around long.

The Roasted Quarter Sawn Maple neck is truly breathtaking. With an AAA Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall frets, the '60s Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 60s style oval "C" profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.

With a trio of hand wound Josefina Fender Custom Shop Fat 60s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a really refined and precise tone, the Fat 60s are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar!
