The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop '59 Telecaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
The sort for lightweight Alder body is finished in a classic Aged Black lacquer, it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively.
The Quartersawn Maple neck has a smooth, authentic, vintage feel. With a 9.5" radius, 21 6105 frets, a 1.650 Nut Width, 25.5"scale length, and 1959 D profile which measures .810" at the 1st fret and .950 at the 12th fret, it's a real joy to play.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '59 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a pair of Hand Wound Texas Special Pickups you can cover every tone you can think of. They are beautifully dynamic and handle both clean and gain incredibly well.
The original '59 Telecasters are the stuff of legend, a real collector's piece. This Custom Shop '59, well that's a player's guitar!
