The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '57 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a classic Black nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1957 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth feel thanks to its satin finish. With a 9.5" radius and 21 narrow tall 6105 frets, the '57 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '57 Style Soft "V" neck shape - measuring .850" at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th - and a 1.650" nut width. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of Fender hand wound '57 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone. Rounding out this guitar are the vintage Fender tuners and American vintage Strat bridge for excellent tuning stability.
