The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Custom Shop 50’s Telecaster Thinline they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders vision.
This guitar has some serious mojo! With an Ash body, finished in a sweet Butterscotch Blonde it looks super slick. Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The Heavy Relic is unbelievable; the attention to detail here is meticulous and super authentic.
The Quartersawn Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The John English spec Large C shape profile is supremely comfortable and thanks to the 21 narrow tall frets it offer a really organic playing experience.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar the Custom Shop 50’s Thinline needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Fender tone. With a 51 Nocaster in the bridge and a Twisted Tele in the neck it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. These pickups are clinical and offer supreme tonal variety.
