Discover enhanced Telecaster versatility with this used Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster in a classic Blonde finish, featuring a maple fingerboard. Designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Christopher Fleming, this instrument takes the iconic Telecaster platform and expands its tonal capabilities, making it a favourite amongst players seeking both vintage feel and modern flexibility. This guitar, made in February 2008, is in good condition overall, displaying a few marks on the neck and general signs of wear consistent with its age, but nothing that impacts its playability.
The Baja Telecaster features an ash body with a thin polyester finish, contributing to its resonant tone. The comfortable soft "V"-shaped maple neck is topped with a maple fingerboard, fitted with 21 medium jumbo frets for easy playability. Sonically, this Telecaster stands out with its unique pickup configuration: a Custom Shop Vintage-Style Tele bridge pickup delivers classic Tele twang and bite, while a Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup offers a fatter, more Strat-like tone. These pickups are controlled by a special four-way pickup switch, which provides standard parallel options along with a powerful series wiring for both pickups, offering a thicker, humbucker-like sound. Further tonal sculpting is available via the S-1 switch, providing even more sonic possibilities. Hardware includes an American Vintage string-through-body Telecaster bridge with three brass saddles, ensuring excellent sustain and intonation. This guitar comes with a non-original gig bag.
This guitar has been thoroughly inspected and will be fully setup by our expert luthiers prior to dispatch, ensuring it plays perfectly straight out of the case. A fantastic opportunity to own a Custom Shop-designed Telecaster with expanded tonal options.
