Built with features inspired by Eddie Van Halen’s own specifications, it offers powerful sound, reliable construction, and thoughtful ergonomics ideal for players of all levels.
The guitar features a basswood body with a natural binding and a specially contoured forearm cut, enhancing comfort during long playing sessions. Its bolt-on baked maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods, which provide exceptional stability and resistance to environmental changes such as humidity and temperature shifts. A spoke wheel truss rod adjuster is located at the base of the neck for fast, easy neck adjustments - ideal for touring musicians or anyone who needs to make quick setup changes on the fly.
Playability is a key focus of the Wolfgang Standard T.O.M. The neck has an oiled finish for a smooth feel, and the 12"-16" compound radius baked maple fingerboard features rolled edges for a broken-in feel right out of the box. With 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays, players can expect precise intonation and effortless bends across the entire neck, making it well-suited for both rhythm and lead playing.
The guitar is equipped with two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers that are directly mounted to the body. This design enhances tonal transfer and resonance, delivering increased sustain and dynamic response. The electronics include custom EVH 500k pots that allow for precise tonal shaping while maintaining clarity and articulation, especially in the high end. The black speed knobs provide smooth and responsive control for both volume and tone.
The addition of a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stoptail bar provides solid intonation, tuning stability, and enhanced string-to-body contact.
